Wild Meals
Wild Meals is an educational and user-friendly app designed to help individuals forage in their local environments, making the process accessible and enjoyable for everyone. With an emphasis on safety and sustainability, the app provides detailed information about foraging, including plant identification, tips on when and how to gather, and how to use these ingredients in simple recipes.
Wild Meals also provides guidelines for sustainable foraging, ensuring that individuals can enjoy wild foods responsibly without depleting natural resources. Whether for health, environmental reasons, or just a deeper connection with nature, the app aims to make foraging a fun, safe, and rewarding activity.

The Problem
Many people that forage have the resources to travel to large forests and green spaces. Those that don’t have access to the resources to travel great distances, or spend lots of time are limited in their ability to learn about, and participate in foraging.
Design Statement
I hope to bridge this gap and provide a valuable resource for foragers of all levels. The app includes a detailed database of wild edibles, complete with photos, descriptions, and information about their nutritional value and traditional uses. Users can search for specific plants, browse by category, or explore the app’s interactive map to discover new foraging locations.

A Wild Meals Subscription Box
Dieline designs
Although the main component was an app for foraging, I wanted to create a secondary element to offer to users. A subscription box that allows them to receive a variety of things such as gear, recipes, newsletters, etc.
